Λεύκαρα, Larnaca, CyprusThe mountain village of Lefkara is located in the Larnaca district and is divided into Pano Lefkara and Kato Lefkara. It is world-famous for its traditional embroidered lace handicrafts and silver filigree works. The village is built at the foothills of the southeastern side of the Troodos mountain range, 650 meters above sea level and at a distance of 43 km from Larnaca. The visitor can reach the village by following routes A5, A1, and E105. The arts of lacemaking and silver processing have been practiced in the village since the Venetian era.
